Team Maths 2010
'Team Maths 2010', a national Mathematics competition, promotes interest in Mathematics amongst for 6th Year Secondary School Students. This year, a total of 1,350 students participated in the competition. The preliminary round was organised by the Irish Mathematics Teachers Association while the Final was organised by UCC’s School of Mathematical Sciences.
Students at Christian Brothers College, Cork beat off stiff competition to emerge victorious at the Maths All-Ireland Final held at UCC on March 6th 2010 (see full story at http://www.ucc.ie/en/mandc/news/fullstory,97515,en.html).
The event was sponsored by SFI-funded research groups, The Edgeworth Centre for Financial Mathematics and FMC2, along with the Society of Actuaries Ireland, and the School of Engineering, UCC.
