The Latest Issue Of The Michael J. Brennan Irish Finance Working Paper Series

The latest issue of the Michael J. Brennan Irish Finance Working Paper Series was released in March 2020. This edition features research by Chris Godfrey, Andreas Hoepner, Ming-Tsung Lin and Ser-Huang Poon who study the impact of diversity on corporate boards during scandals, and find that boards that include women result in reduced economic effects in comparison to those without female representations. John Cotter Mark Hallam and Kamil Yilmaz detail strong linkages between macroeconomic and financial market data using a new approach that also is able to predict future economic activity. Don Bredin, Conall O’Sullivan and Simon Spencer develop a successful predictor of oil futures using the terms structure of futures contracts.  Finally, Paolo Guasoni and Gu Wang develop the optimal contract for profit distribution in a principal-agent setting who have heterogeneous skills.

The Michael J. Brennan Working Paper Series is supported by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI).
