Prof René Stulz receives an Honorary Doctorate from UCD

We are delighted to announce that the FMC Cluster’s former Scientific Advisory Board member, Prof René Stulz visited UCD Smurfit Business School and received an Honorary Doctorate in December 2023. Many congratulations to Prof Stulz on his Honorary Doctorate.

Professor Stulz is the Everett D. Reese Chair of Banking and Monetary Economics and the Director of the Dice Center for Research in Financial Economics at The Ohio State University. He is a leading expert in many areas relating to Corporate Finance, including Corporate Governance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Risk Management and Valuation. Professor Stulz is a real world leader, one of the most influential people in the Finance discipline, and has given much service to his profession.

As part of our Scientific Advisory Board FMC Cluster has benefitted much from his wisdom and expertise in growing a research ecosystem. Throughout René has been very supportive of the activities of UCD. During this recent visit, Professor Stulz gave a seminar on “The US Equity Valuation Premium, Globalization and Climate Change Risks” to faculty members, researchers, students, and had multiple meetings with various stakeholders.
